LIBRARY NEWS

BY GEORGIA FLASKAS – TEACHER LIBRARIAN

February 14 was Library Lovers Day - a day when libraries around Australia celebrate the important role that libraries play in our lives. Students were invited to visit and go on a ‘blind date’ with a book. Our wonderfully creative library assistant Teighan Webber created a beautiful display for the occasion and students had lots of fun reading their mystery books.

In other library news, our Year 7, 8 and 9 students started their fortnightly reading sessions with our Teacher Librarian and their English teachers. They revised how to access the online catalogue to find resources and then selected books for recreational reading.

Lunchtimes have also been popular with students playing board games and catching up on their homework.
