Principal's Update

As we approach the last week of Term 1 I would like to congratulate the students on all their hard work over the term. It is encouraging to see our students embracing the learning opportunities offered and showing steady improvement in their work. The last day of this term will be Thursday 2nd April, which is also our school photo day. Term 2 will begin on Tuesday 21st April for students, as Monday 20th April is a student free day due to staff professional development.

Bike Safety

A big thank you to all of our families who ensure their children come to school with a properly fitted bike helmet. Your support plays a vital role in keeping our students safe on their journey to and from school. Wearing a helmet is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent serious injury. It sets a strong example for children and helps build lifelong safe habits when riding bikes, scooters, or skateboards.

We appreciate your continued commitment to safety and encourage all families to keep reinforcing the importance of wearing a helmet every time your child rides. Together, we can help keep our students safe and confident on the road.

Uniform

I would like to remind all families of the importance of students wearing full school uniform each day, including their school jumpers. Wearing the correct uniform helps keep students warm, comfortable, and ready for learning throughout the day. It also promotes a sense of pride and belonging within our school community.

Our students are very proud of our new uniform and it is wonderful to see them wearing it. Worklocker is now fully stocked with our uniform and we expect students to now be wearing it. Black pants/shorts and out of uniform jumpers are not acceptable. We appreciate your support in ensuring your child comes to school dressed appropriately, including jumpers as the weather is turning cooler. Please ensure all items are clearly named.

Electronic Devices

As we approach the holiday period, we would like to remind families about the importance of setting clear expectations around device use at home.

While devices can be a great source of entertainment and connection, it is important that boundaries remain in place. Establishing limits on screen time, ensuring age-appropriate content, and maintaining device-free times (such as during meals and before bed) all support children’s wellbeing.

Holidays are a valuable opportunity for children to rest, be active, spend time with family, and engage in creative play. Devices should support these experiences, not replace them. Children benefit most when guided by adults, rather than being left to navigate the digital world independently.

Thank you for your support in helping our students develop healthy, balanced habits with technology.

I hope everyone enjoys the holidays and we will see everyone back in Term 2!
