The Principal’s Commissioning was a truly wonderful occasion — filled with special moments that captured the heart of both All Saints’ College and The Studio School communities. It was deeply humbling to be formally welcomed into this vibrant and values‑driven community, surrounded by my family, students, staff, Old Saints, and distinguished guests. It was a privilege to be formally commissioned into the role by The Right Reverend Kate Wilmot, Administrator of the Anglican Diocese of Perth. I felt humbled to receive several symbolic gifts and many messages of goodwill and support from our College community. A personal highlight was the outstanding performance of ‘Solid Rock’ by our All Saints’ College band, Repercussions, accompanied by Mr Josh Kelly on the didgeridoo.

Events such as this remind us just how unique All Saints’ College is — a place where faith, learning, and community blend naturally. My heartfelt thanks go to everyone who helped prepare and organise this significant celebration. While there far too many people to name, I would like to acknowledge Ms Gillian Glisson, our student musicians and chorister, readers and gift presenters, the College‘s Facilities team and our Community Relations team, along with the invited guests who participated in the service. Their care and attention to detail ensured that the day ran beautifully. It was an event that reflected the very best of who we are — a connected, vibrant and joyful community.

This week, the Senior School Production, Antigone, takes to the stage in the CPA on Friday and Saturday. Our students and staff have worked tirelessly to bring this compelling classical story to life in a modern and contemporary way. Their dedication and talent shine through in every element of the performance and I congratulate everyone who is a part of this production.

Audiences can expect a visually stunning and emotionally powerful performance — one that explores the timeless themes of courage, justice, and moral conviction, resonating strongly with our College values of Empathy, Respect, Integrity and Courage (ERIC). It promises to be an unforgettable experience, and I warmly encourage everyone in our community to support our remarkable young performers, backstage crew, and creative team. Tickets are still available — and you won’t want to miss it!

Middle East Conflict

As the situation in the Middle East continues to evolve, I am conscious of rising levels of concern and the potential emotional and practical implications for families within our community.

Our Executive Team is carefully considering the impacts of ongoing conflict on our students, their families and our staff. We are diligently planning for  a range of scenarios while continuing to pray for an immediate end to hostilities in the region. We will communicate with our community in a timely and thoughtful manner.

This is a challenging time for many around the world, and we are reminded of the importance of compassion, understanding, and praying for peace — values that sit at the heart of our Anglican identity and guide us in caring for one another.

Privacy Policy

Keeping our policies current is an essential part of ensuring that the College continues to operate with clarity and integrity. As our community grows and the ways in which we learn, work and communicate evolve, some of our guiding documents require a refresh.

Our Privacy Policy has recently been updated to aligned with current legislation, incorporate modern technologies, and clearly outline how personal information is collected, stored, and used across the College.

This update is about ensuring transparency and accountability in an increasingly digital world. The revised policy now provides clearer information around online platforms, data security, and communication practices, while reinforcing the College’s unwavering commitment to respecting the privacy of every student, family, staff member and visitor.

I encourage you to take a moment to familiarise yourself with the policy, which can be accessed through MyASC.

Easter Message

As this is our final edition of the Courier before the Term 1 break, I wish all students and families a safe, peaceful, and restful holiday.

Easter is the most significant and sacred time in the Christian calendar. It calls us to reflect on the story of Jesus Christ — his courage, his great sacrifice on the cross, and the hope embodied in his resurrection. Through this story, we are reminded of renewal, grace, and the promise of new life.

In what continues to be a turbulent time for our world, may this Easter bring each of us a renewed sense of faith, hope, and compassion. May we look forward with active hope — a hope that inspires kindness, action, and care for one another.

All the best

Nick Jones
