Swimming Carnival Report - A Day of Fun, Competition, and Team Spirit

This year’s Swimming Carnival was an unforgettable event that brought together students, teachers, and families for a day of friendly competition, school spirit, and unforgettable memories. Held at Penrith Ripples, the carnival saw students of all year levels dive in for an action-packed day that showcased their athleticism and teamwork.

The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as students lined up in their house colors, ready to cheer on their teammates in the 50m Freestyle event. In addition to the normal individual races, the wet and dry novelty events were a highlight of the day, with each house showing incredible teamwork and energy. Throughout the day, the school’s sense of community shone brightly. It wasn’t just about who won; it was about encouraging each other, celebrating victories, and supporting those who needed it. Teachers and students alike got involved in the races, with several staff members diving in for the novelty events, adding to the fun and light-hearted spirit of the carnival.

A huge thank you goes out to Ms Muscat, Mrs McElroy and the PDHPE staff who helped organise and set up for the carnival. Thank you also to all the staff, parents, and some year 10 student helpers, who helped ensure everything ran smoothly.

The Swimming Carnival wasn’t just about racing; it was about community, participation, and having fun. We look forward to next year’s event, where we’re sure to see even more fierce competition and unforgettable moments. Until then, let’s keep that swimming spirit alive and continue to support each other both in and out of the pool!
