From the Principal Leader

Dear Parents, Carers, and Students,

Welcome to the start of another exciting year at Caroline Chisholm College! It is with great enthusiasm that we begin 2025, filled with fresh opportunities, aspirations, and a continued commitment to providing an inspiring and inclusive learning environment for all our students.

As we embark on this new school year, I want to express my gratitude for the support and trust you have shown in our college. Together, we strive to foster a culture of academic excellence, personal growth, and community spirit. This year, we will continue to nurture the values of respect, responsibility, and resilience, empowering our students to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our new students to the college Years 7-12 who have embraced everything it means to join our learning and faith community. Year 7 have commenced their journey at Chisholm in a strong way by engaging in their learning, making new friends, and joining into the swimming carnival with high spirits and enthusiasm. I am very proud of Year 7 students who have settled into Caroline Chisholm with grace, dedication and a willingness to grow as independent, caring young women.

Last Friday we enjoyed a spectacular swimming carnival as a college community. This was our first whole school carnival in 20 years and the atmosphere was electric with extremely strong attendance and outstanding participation by our beautiful Chisholm girls Year 7-12. Thank you sincerely to Ms Suz Muscat, Mrs Caroline McElroy and the entire PDHPE team for the commitment, dedication and outstanding efforts organising a swimming carnival where every single student was able to participate in the competitive races, novelty events and House Cheers! I am very proud of the entire community who supported the swimming carnival allowing it to be a true success for the Chisholm community building school spirit! Thank you to all the parents and families who also came along and supported your daughters and all students across the college by your presence. We look forward to presenting the House Cup won by Gilmore on 398 points and Swimming Age Champions at our next assembly.

Our dedicated teaching and support staff are excited to work alongside your daughters as they explore new challenges, engage in creative learning, and build meaningful relationships. We are also focused on enhancing our extracurricular programs, ensuring that our students have access to a broad range of experiences that complement their academic journey.

I encourage our students to embrace each day with a spirit of curiosity and commitment to their goals. Remember that every step you take, no matter how small, contributes to your growth and success.

As we move forward together in 2025, let’s continue to work as a united community, supporting one another to achieve great things. I look forward to celebrating all the achievements and milestones our students will undoubtedly reach this year. Our growth mantra in 2025 is “Better Together”,  as we work together as a community to achieve not only our personal best, but strive towards supporting one another to exceed expectations academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally. I am confident that as a community we will continue to be positive, compassionate and kind towards each other in the Jubilee Year of Hope.

May we all be beacons of light, faith and hope to each other, our community and the world celebrating the Jubilee Year of Hope in 2025.
