RESPECT

At assembly this morning Gwen and Emerson, two of our SRC Members shared the following information about our whole-school value for Term 1.

We aim to make St James the best school it can be and each week we will share with you some important information about the whole-school value.

But what does respect actually mean?

Respect is about treating others the way you want to be treated. It means listening when someone is speaking, using kind words, and taking care of things around us. Imagine if everyone at school spoke kindly, helped each other, and looked after our classrooms. Wouldn't that be amazing? This week, let’s all try to show respect in small ways—like saying "please" and "thank you" or holding the door open for someone.

Let’s be a school where respect is our superpower!

Congratulations to the following students who have received a Respect Award recently.

Week 2:  Alexander, Hudson, Isabel, and Eloise.

Macy, Charlie Y, Hugo S, Angus D, and William.

Week 3:  Lucinda, Abbey N, Amelia B,  Evie O, Morgan, Abigail G, Richard, Kiarra, and Beorn.

SRC Badge Ceremony

We welcome our new Semester One SRC members, and this morning they were presented with their badges. Our SRC is a valued part of our school and will fulfill the following duties:

  • Regularly attend SRC meetings.
  • Share ideas and feedback from their peers during meetings.
  • Report back to their class on any important information discussed.
  • Prepare and promote special school events.

Congratulations to these students who make up our Semester One St James Student Representative Council.
