Welcome Back 

Term 1, 2025

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We would like to welcome students and families back to the new school year as they begin their time in Grades One or Two. Students have settled in well to the daily routines and are enjoying being back at school especially seeing their friends!

We would like to warmly welcome to the 1/2 team Leah Myers who has joined the Sunshine Heights community and is also our schools Literacy Leader. She has a wealth of experience in both teaching and literacy instruction. Leah is excited to get know the Sunny Heights community. Please come and say hi if you see Leah around the school. 

Leah Myers and Leanne Vella will be working in Grade 1A, Sophie Lewis in Grade 1B, Rose Krajacic in Grade 1/2A, Sonia Papadopoulos and Elena Dierickx in Grade 2A and Ashlee Langer in Grade 2B make up the 1/2 team this year.  

This term, all students will require to have a hat to play in the yard as the UV index is quite high. Please ensure that your child has a SunSmart hat to wear. New hats can be purchased at the school office if required.  It would be greatly appreciated if all students could please bring in two boxes of tissues for this term. Students will also need to bring a library bag to borrow books each week from our school library. Please refer to your child's classroom timetable to see when they will have Library.  Could you please ensure all of your child's belongings are clearly labelled. 

 If you have any concerns or questions about your child, please feel free to have a chat with your child’s teacher/s either in person after school or via email through the school email.  Alternatively, you can contact the office to arrange an appointment.
