Our Catholic Community

Opening School Mass
On Friday 14th February, we celebrated the start of the school year with the Opening School Mass. We welcomed our new principal, Mr Alistair Stewart and inducted our 2025 school leaders.
Ash Wednesday and Lent
Ash Wednesday Mass will be celebrated Wednesday 5th March in the school hall, beginning at 11:45am. All parents and carers are invited to attend.
Ash Wednesday is the official start of Lent. Lent is a 40-day season commencing on Ash Wednesday and ending at sundown on Holy Thursday. During this season Catholics are called to enter more deeply into the mystery of Jesus’ suffering, death and Resurrection at Easter. The season of Lent offers us an opportunity to reflect on where we have failed to love God, our neighbour and ourselves and to seek ways to heal what is broken. Alongside this reflection on how we are living our lives, we commit more fully to prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
Caritas Project Compassion Fundraising
During Lent, as a school community we fundraise for Caritas' Project Compassion. Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion invites us to Unite Against Poverty this Lent. As Caritas Australia’s largest annual fundraising campaign, Project Compassion mobilises Australians to raise much-needed funds to help alleviate poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity in the most vulnerable and marginalised communities in the world.
There will be several opportunities for the our community to donate to this wonderful cause.
