Dear Karoo Primary School Community, 

Welcome back to another exciting year of learning science! This year, students will dive into interesting scientific concepts from the Physical, Chemical, and Biological sciences, as well as Earth and Space sciences.

Year 3&4 

This term, Year 3 and 4 students are diving into Earth and Space science, exploring how Earth’s rotation on its axis causes regular changes, including night and day. To kick off our learning, students drew annotated diagrams to illustrate their prior understanding of how night and day occur. 

Year 5&6 

This term, Year 5 and 6 students are venturing beyond Earth to explore how our planet is part of a system of planets orbiting the Sun. To begin our learning journey, students created annotated diagrams of the solar system, showcasing their prior knowledge of the planets and their positions.
