Welcome to the Library for 2025!

I am absolutely thrilled to introduce myself as the new Library Coordinator for 2025. My name is Janna Wright.

I’m no stranger to Karoo Primary School, as both my daughters attended this wonderful school. I’ve seen first hand the incredible support this community offers to students, and I’m eager to be a part of the team. My goal this year is simple: to help every student discover the magic of books, spark their imaginations, learn new information, and open their minds to endless possibilities.

One of the things I’m most excited about is hearing from the students. I want to know what they like to read, what genres or topics excite them, and what they’d like to see in the library. After all, this is their library to explore!

I’m looking forward to meeting every student, working with the Library Captains, supporting the school in building a love for reading, and making the library a special place for everyone.

I’ve already gone around to classes to present a guide to the Library for 2025, which was so much fun, and it was wonderful to see everyone and chat about what’s coming up.   

Library Clubs will be starting soon, keep an eye out for details.  And the Library Captains will be helping out in the library. 

Together, let’s foster a whole-school reading culture that will inspire our kids to reach for new adventures in books.
