Reminders

School Closure Day - Friday 28th February

Punctuality

We kindly ask that all students arrive at school no later than 8.45am. The time between 8.30am and 8.45am is important for students to get organized, participate in prayer, take the roll, and be ready to start their day promptly. Formal lessons begin at 8.45am. If your child arrives at or after 8.45am, please ensure they are signed in at the office by a parent or guardian. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain these timings. Thank you.

Year 3 & 4 Swimming Program - Congratulations Children!

The Year 3 and 4 Swimming Program is now well underway with our children in years 3 and 4 participating in daily swimming lessons.  Our children have been most enthusiastic with lots of smiles and great learning!     The program concludes next Thursday 6th March.

2025 Prep Family Welcome Mass - 11am Sunday 2nd March

The St Andrew’s parish and school community warmly invite all 2025 Prep families to our Prep Mass, on Sunday 2nd March at 11 am.  It will be a lovely occasion to get together to welcome our Prep families into our St Andrew’s community.  Our students will perform a short reflection at the end of the Mass to incorporate part of their learning in Education and Faith. We look forward to seeing you there.

NAPLAN

NAPLAN (The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) is a national Literacy and Numeracy assessment that students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 sit each year. This is another form of data that is collected by schools at a point in time to check students' progression in Literacy and Numeracy. It doesn’t replace ongoing assessments made by teachers about student performance.

NAPLAN will take place between 12 - 24 March 2025. An exact schedule will be shared closer to the start date. All tests are completed online using a school device, except for the Year 3 writing test which is completed on paper.

All students require a set of over-ear headphones.

Please send a headphones into school with your child before Week 7, if you haven't already done so.

Feel free to contact Lucy Levett or Holly Capomolla if you have any queries.

Working Bee - Please note new date!

Our first Working Bee for 2025 will be held on Saturday 15th March 8:30 - 10:30am.

This is a terrific opportunity to make a positive contribution to the school environment and your child's learning environment.

Families who attend one Working Bee per year will have the $75 maintenance fee credited from their statement.

You are requested to sign in at the desk outside the school office on arrival and to sign out when you depart.  A job list providing outlines of the various tasks to be covered on the morning will be available.

We encourage parents with wheelbarrows, shovels, brooms, rakes etc to bring them along for the morning.

We hope to see you there!

School Photos – Tuesday 18th March                         (No Sports Uniform)

School Photos will be taken on Tuesday 18th March. Please ensure that children are present at school for an 8.45am start so as to avoid your child missing their class photo.

Note: children are required to wear the full schooll uniform on the day, not the sports uniform.

Your child will come home with their personalised order flyer today. As all orders are placed online there is no need for families to return the order flyer to the school on photography day.

All students will be individually photographed as well as in their class group whether an order has been placed or not.

If you do not want your child photographed on this day or included in the class group photo, please contact the school office.
