Hello everyone!🌸

 

My name is Nakita. I'm one of the new teachers here at Banmira Specialist School in Shepparton.

 

Here are a few things about me, I absolutely love the colours aqua and purple! My favourite food is spaghetti and mince, ending it off with a cool glass of Pepsi Max! My favourite fruit is watermelon, lychees, and plums! 

 

I absolutely love Roald Dahl books especially Fantastic Mr Fox, and the Harry Potter series! My hobbies include listening to music, riding motorbikes and going on adventures to new places. I love board games like Monopoly and snakes and ladders!

My name is Katie, and I am a Senior Years' Teacher. 

 

I grew up in Shepparton and have spent the past five years living and teaching in the Northern Territory.

 

I enjoy camping, snow skiing and exploring new places! 

 

I like the colour green, and my favourite food is mango.

 

My favourite book from childhood is The Magic Faraway Tree.


My name is Tiffany, and I am an Upper Middle Years' Teacher. 

 

I am an American teacher from Las Vegas, Nevada and have been teaching for the last 18 years. 

 

I am also a Veteran in the United States Navy. 

 

My favourite colour is orange, and I love all food! I enjoy trying new things.

 

My favourite book from childhood is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.


My name is Rofina and I come from South Africa where I worked as a Primary School Teacher at Awelani Christian School for 17 years. I was teaching Mathematics, English and Natural Science and Technology.

 

After completing my Honors in Inclusive Education, I became a Special Class teacher where I was assisting learners with special needs. I enjoyed every moment I spent at Awelani Christian School and I learnt a lot while I was teaching there. 

 

I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Most of the time I like going out to learn new things. This helps me understand different cultures well. 

 

When I was young, I read many books but the one I enjoyed the most was “Betty and her friends”. I loved it very much.

 

My favourite food is sadza/pap and vegetables (African menu). I also like to taste different types of food which I grew up not eating. I like eating healthy.


Hi, my name is Lily, I am one of the new teachers to Banmira. 

 

I am working as a permission to teach whilst completing my final year of uni. 

 

I have moved back to Shepparton after working and studying a few years in Bendigo at the Specialist schools as Education Support.

 

I enjoy going to the gym, and my favourite colour is pink.

 

My favourite food is chocolate, and my favourite childhood book is Where the Wild Things are. 


Hi, my name is Sanjeeta, and I am a Teacher at Banmira Specialist School Junior Campus. I am originally from the Fiji Islands, and I have 12 years of teaching experience. 

 

I moved to Australia in January 2025 with my husband, bringing my passion for education to a new environment.

 

I love traveling and socialising, and my favourite colour is blue.

 

I enjoy Chinese cuisine, and my favourite book from childhood are any of the Enid Blyton stories.


Hi, my name is Vassie, and I am a teacher at the Senior Campus of Banmira Specialist School. I come from South Africa and have a passion for teaching as I have been a teacher for 18 years already. I am from the Indian race and my religion is Tamil.  

 

One of my favourite things to do in my spare time is reading. I absolutely enjoy holding a book and just getting lost in the pages of the story. My favourite story book has always been the story of Cinderella. 

 

I enjoy spending time exploring especially if there are hiking trails. I love watching the sunset and listening to the birds at sunrise. 

 

My favourite food has to be prawns in a peri peri sauce. I also love a hot cup of tea in the evenings just to unwind and relax.
