Dear Parents,
We are pleased to let you know that headspace Hamilton is now open – offering support and access to safe, free, and confidential services to young people aged 12-25 in the Southern Grampians region.
headspace is a mental health support service for young people and their families with a focus on providing early support to improve mental health and wellbeing. The headspace model is designed to support young people who may be showing early symptoms of mental illness at a low to moderate risk and complexity.
In centre, headspace Hamilton can provide support for 12 to 25-year-olds through:
headspace are proud to deliver this much-needed service to the Hamilton community and the broader Southern Grampians Region.
headspace are now accepting referrals. Their multidisciplinary team is ready to support young people across the Southern Grampians Shire. For each referral, they will assess the young person’s needs and collaborate with them to explore suitable support options. The service is voluntary; the young person must be willing to be referred to headspace and have goals that they wish to work on. If headspace Hamilton cannot currently meet their needs, they will do our best to suggest alternative options.
**Please note that headspace are currently working on their online referral forms on their website and hope to have them available for use soon.
headspace is now open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. They offer extended hours to 7pm on Wednesday and Thursday by appointment.
How to refer:
They offer several ways to refer a young person to their service.
