PREMIER'S READING CHALLENGE IS NOW OPEN!

The Premier’s Reading Challenge is a wonderful opportunity to foster a love of reading!

The Premier’s Reading Challenge encourages students to read a set number of books based on their grade level, and it provides a fantastic way to motivate students to explore new books, improve literacy skills, and develop a lifelong love of reading.

The challenge began on Monday 24 February and will conclude on Friday 22 August 2025.

Please see the 2025 Premier's Reading Challenge Event on COMPASS to allow your child to participate. Usernames and passwords will then be sent home with your child.

This is a fantastic way to further instill a love of reading in all our children. I encourage everyone to participate, all they have to do is READ!

Thank you for your support, and let’s make this a great reading year!

LUNCHTIME LIBRARY BORROWING

Starting next week, the school library will be open during lunchtime for students who may have forgotten their books or have finished reading their current books and need new ones to borrow.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to access a wide variety of books and keep their reading momentum going, without waiting for the next class library lesson. Whether they need a new book for enjoyment, schoolwork, or personal interest, the library will be ready to help!

Lunchtime Library Borrowing Details:

  • When: Second lunch break  (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)

  • Who: All students are welcome!

  • What: Students can borrow books, exchange completed ones, or seek recommendations from our librarian.

We encourage you to remind your child that the library is now an available option if they ever find themselves without a book. It’s a great way to ensure they always have something exciting to read!

Happy Reading!
