Introducing the Sustainability Leaders for Semester One, 2025
After a selection process, 12 Student Sustainability Leaders from Year 5 and 6 were selected this week. Their responsibilities will include running the organics bin program, assisting with Garden Club, and brainstorming then implementing other initiatives to make our school more sustainable. Miss Bec is very excited to work with them to help make SMPS greener!

Year 6 Garden Program
Each term in Environmental Education one grade will be completing a project in the SMPS school garden, located on Level 1. This term, the fantastic Year 6 students are working on a new garden design. Each student is researching things they would like to have in the garden and creating a design. We will then work together to decide what we would like our garden to look like this year. Our goal is to have a functional kitchen garden which can be used by all grades in Garden Club. The school might even use one of our plans to make some changes to the garden!
