Science

It has been a busy time in science as students continue to explore biology. Students have enjoyed some hands-on experiments and exploring the relationship between plants and animals.
Aquascape excitement
The aquascape aquarium in the science room has been slowly filling up and students have enjoyed seeing plants appear, algae grow, and a few fish swimming about in the tank.
Bottle donations
Thank you to all the 3/4 and 5/6 families that have brought plastic 1.25lt bottles in for science. We are still hoping to collect more to ensure everyone has one by the end of the term so feel free to send them to school with your child and they will make their way to the science room.
Garden Club
In garden club this week students collected mulch to add to our garden beds. We also cleared out some space in two of the overgrown garden beds (opposite our tomato beds) and we have some cabbage and cauliflower seedlings ready to plant there this coming Monday. We also have a large kale plant which went to seed late last year and is all dried and finished. We will be collecting the seeds this coming Monday and replanting some of the seeds in another garden bed.
