MPPS Student Values Awards ~ Term 4, Week 4

Students who have demonstrated our school values (Respect, Kindness, Gratitude) are selected from each cohort to receive an award certificate and our new Values wristband to wear to school each day. The students receive this award at a cohort assembly that is conducted twice per term.

 

Well done to the children below who recieved our Values award.

 

Prep

Ruby ~ Ruby displays all of our school values each day. She always shows her respect for her teachers and classmates by giving everything a go and striving to do her very best. Ruby displays kindness towards her classmates and teachers through her care and consideration for others. She is always willing to work with others, share with others and take care of others. Ruby particularly shows us the importance of gratitude at school. Ruby shows her appreciation for the wonderful opportunities to learn and to build great relationships with others by acknowledging these opportunities by simply saying ‘thank you’ and displaying her positive attitude towards all aspects of school life.Thank Ruby for being such a wonderful member of our MPPS community!! You are a super star!

 

Alex ~ Alex is a true role model in his ability to show our school values every day. In particular, he is a perfect example of  Respect in our school. Every morning, Alex greets his classmates and teachers with a big smile and genuine care when asking ‘How are you?’. Alex cares deeply for the people around him, and will always look for ways to help others or cheer them up. Alex always strives to do the right thing, even when nobody is watching, always encouraging others to do the same. His beautiful manners and positive attitude are present in every ‘please’ and ’thank you’. We are so grateful to have your positive, bright and loving personality in our class! Congratulations, Alex, you are a true superstar!

 

Leo ~ This award goes to a member of Prep A  who consistently demonstrates our school value of kindness. Leo, you are a shining star in your ability to show kindness to others. Your thoughtful words, helpful actions, and friendly smile make our classroom a happier and more welcoming place. Leo has shown great growth in his ability to recognise the impacts of his words and actions on others. This is evident in his ability to consistently show kindness to his friends, classmates and teachers. Leo is a thoughtful, empathetic member of our class, always ready to offer a helping hand to others and share in their excitement. Leo's infectious smile and positive attitude brings light and laughter into our classroom. We are so lucky to have you in Prep A, Leo. Congratulations!

 

Zephyr ~ Zephyr brings kindness and positivity to every PE session. He is always willing to help others, whether it’s setting up, packing away equipment, or encouraging classmates during activities. Zephyr listens carefully to instructions and to his peers, showing great respect and teamwork. He makes sure everyone feels included and supported, creating a welcoming and fun environment for all. Zephyr always tries his best, giving his full effort in every game and challenge. His attitude and sportsmanship make him a true role model in PE.

 

Georgia ~This award is presented to Georgia, a student who shows wonderful gratitude and respect every day. She always uses her beautiful manners when speaking to teachers and friends, showing kindness and care in her words and actions. She takes pride in looking after our classroom and school, helping to keep our learning spaces tidy and welcoming for everyone. Georgia listens carefully and attentively during lessons and when others are speaking, showing that she values what people have to say. Georgia, your cheerful attitude and positive outlook make our class a happy and caring place to learn and grow together. Congratulations!

Year 1/2 

Angie ~ Dear Angie, Thank you for the respect you show towards your classmates, your teachers and me. Every morning you greet me with a ‘Good morning Tracey’ as you hold the door open to let me through. Your offers to help in the art room demonstrate initiative and thoughtfulness as you are aware that there is always something that needs doing. During our sessions together you demonstrate respectful behavior by listening attentively, speaking kindly, and are inclusive of others. I really appreciate how you help take care of school property such as our art supplies while cleaning up after yourself and others. Thank you for being so considerate, positive and respectful. I think you are a super star!

 

Vasu ~ Vasu is a very worthy recipient of our values award for respect. Vasu shows respect each and every day through all of his interactions with members of the school community, including parents, teachers, other students and visitors to our school. Vasu acknowledges and appreciates the value of other people, saying hello in the hallway or including them in his games and activities. Vasu is aware of how his words and actions can have an impact on others, intentional or not. Vasu shows respect for our school by following the school rules and instructions given by his teachers. Importantly, Vasu shows respect to himself by trying his best in everything he does, taking on feedback and looking for ways to improve. Well done, Vasu! 

 

Zoe ~  Zoe truly embodies our school value of kindness in everything she does. She consistently shows kindness to both her teachers and peers through her thoughtful actions, gentle words, and genuine care for those around her. Whether it’s taking the initiative to help without being asked, lending a hand when someone is struggling, or quietly checking in on a friend, Zoe is always ready to support others. One of the most beautiful qualities she brings to our school community is her ability to make everyone feel seen and included. No matter the situation, Zoe ensures that no one is left out — she invites others into groups, makes space for quiet voices, and creates an environment where everyone feels they belong. Her warm, friendly smile brightens the day of anyone she meets and serves as a daily reminder of how simple gestures can have a powerful impact. Zoe doesn’t just speak about kindness — she lives it every day. Her quiet leadership, empathy, and consistent positivity have made a lasting impression on both students and staff. We are so fortunate to have her as part of our school, and we congratulate her on this well-earned recognition. Congratulations Zoe — your kindness makes a difference at MPPS!

 

Harry ~ Harry has a warm and genuine way of showing gratitude that shines through in both his words and actions. He regularly expresses appreciation with a kind word or a thoughtful gesture. He embraces all learning opportunities with a positive attitude and is ready to be challenged. Harry’s gratitude extends naturally to his relationships with others. He is thoughtful in how he interacts with his peers through always listening and celebrating the success of others. Harry’s respectful and kind demeanor helps foster a classroom culture where everyone feels supported and valued. Harry is a wonderful Values role model for everyone. Congratulations Harry!

 

Year 3/4

Ava ~ Ava is a shining example of MPPS’s value of respect! She not only demonstrates respect to her teachers but to all her MPPS peers. Furthermore, Ava is a hard working, patient student that always makes sure to actively listen and participate in the classroom. She has created such amazing work with her research project and made sure to follow guidance throughout the process! Ava is an absolute joy to teach and an asset to our school community! Well done, Ava!

 

Srisa ~ Srisa is our MPPS Values Award recipient for Respect because she consistently shows respect towards everyone at our school. Srisa is thoughtful and shows patience and consideration to both teachers and other students, creating a positive and welcoming classroom. Srisa’s respectful attitude sets a great example for everyone and truly reflects our MPPS values.  Thank you Srisa!

 

Ella ~ Ella consistently shows kindness to everyone and goes out of her way to make others feel valued and included. She leads by example, inspiring others to see the importance of kindness both in and out of the classroom. Ella also took initiative in organising and delivering our R U OK? Day lessons, demonstrating compassion, leadership, and a genuine commitment to supporting others. Thank you, Ella — we need more people in the world like you!

 

Mya ~ Mya is a stand out example of both gratitude and kindness in action!

Every day, she finds ways to make others feel special- whether it’s thanking a teacher for a fun lesson, helping a classmate when they are stuck or sharing a smile across the room. Mya is someone that brings positivity and joy to those around her without the need to be the centre of attention. She values kindness and understands how important it is to show kindness to others, all the time. Mya remembers to say please and thank you, not just out of habit or because she’s told to do so, but rather because she truly appreciates what others do for her. Mya’s warm smile and thoughtful gestures brighten every room she enters, reminding everyone that small acts of kindness and being grateful for the people and opportunities around us all, can make a huge difference. Congratulations Mya, keep doing what you are doing!

Year 5/6

Thomas ~ Thomas deserves this week’s Respect Award because he consistently demonstrates outstanding effort and thoughtfulness in the classroom. Thomas listens carefully to others, shares his ideas with kindness, and always considers and builds on different points of view during class discussions. He approaches his work with focus and care, showing a genuine desire to do his best and to support those around him. During our class book club, Thomas stands out for the respectful way he engages with his classmates’ opinions, making insightful comments that show deep thinking about the stories we read. His positive attitude and considerate nature make our classroom a better place for everyone.

 

Sid ~ Kindness is what makes our school such a great place to be. It’s about helping others, showing respect, and making everyone feel included, and Sid lives this value every single day.

Sid shows kindness in everything he does. In the classroom, Sid is the kind of person who works happily with everyone. He includes others, listens to their ideas, and helps anyone who needs a hand. Whether it’s explaining a tricky question, sharing materials, or encouraging a classmate who’s finding something hard. Sid also shows great respect for his teachers. He listens carefully, follows instructions, and always shows a positive attitude towards learning. His calm, caring nature helps create a classroom environment where everyone feels welcome and supported. Outside the classroom, Sid continues to show his kindness in the yard. He looks out for others, checking in if someone is hurt, making sure no one is left out, and helping to solve problems in fair and friendly ways. He understands that kindness isn’t just about words; it’s about actions, big and small. Sid’s kindness reaches beyond the classroom and playground. He contributes to our Middle Park Primary community by being an exceptional role model for others; showing what it means to treat people with respect, empathy, and compassion. Sid, your kindness inspires those around you. It brings people together, makes our school stronger, and shows the potential for truly great leadership. Congratulations, Sid, and thank you for reminding us all how powerful kindness can be.

 

Paige ~ Paige is receiving this values award because she always displays all the school values of Middle Park Primary. Not a day goes by when Paige doesn't forget her manners, is respectful to her classmates and the wider community and always all to staff members throughtout the school day. 

 

Bonnie, Willow & Beth ~ The Office MPPS Values award goes to Bonnie Lott, Willow Wells & Beth Tsapazi for their respectful handling of our flags, both in raising and lowering them with the dignity they deserve. The girls never have to be reminded of their duties and are extremely courteous when they come into the office to collect the keys and flags. Their attention to this important duty reflects their high regard for our School / values and sets a positive example of pride & responsibility for others. Thank you Girls for taking on such an important role and doing it so well each week. Great job!
