Principal's Message

Dear parents and carers,

I’m sure you will agree the performance of Mary Poppins was spectacular. Every single student who participated should be very proud of themselves and their peers. Thanks to Heather Sloan, her team and the staff for the wonderful preparation.

I spoke to the students on Monday morning about how best to spend the remainder of their school year. It’s particularly important for all students, particularly senior students to just “be”. Be engaged, be respectful, be appreciative, be kind. Just enjoy the last of this year and what it has to offer.

For the next six weeks the students and staff will be focussing on testing, assessing and preparing reports as well as teaching aspects of the syllabuses. We also have a number of data sets to be prepared for Armidale Catholic Schools.

It can be a very exciting time when we celebrate growth and identify any students who may need additional support in the form of a learning sprint. There is MUCH learning time left in 2025 so please don't think that a day off here and there won’t impact your child’s progress.

As the weather gets hotter and lives get busier with work and end of year events please remember the following;

  • Kids need quiet time
  • Limit screen time
  • Stick to your guns
  • Listen to your children
  • Send them to school

Kind regards,

Jen
