Hurrikane Hudson (Year 12 Class of 2025, Trinity Grammar alumni), Echuca - has commenced an electrical apprenticeship this year with Chris Johnson at SKS Indigenous Technologies. In 2022, SKS Indigenous Technologies was launched in partnership with SKS Technologies providing comprehensive audio visual, communications and electrical solutions across Australia. SKS Indigenous Technologies is committed to closing the gap and promoting reconciliation through economic independence and employment opportunities, particularly via apprenticeships and school-based programs.
Latoya Tipiloura (Year 12 Class of 2022, Darwin/Tiwi) - Latoya finished her schooling in Melbourne in 2020 at Kingswood College and returned home to complete school. After that she worked at the Tiwi Islands Training and Employment Board TITEB at Wurrumiyanga and has now completed an Australian Public Service traineeship and works for Centrelink. She also plays footy in Darwin representing both the Darwin Buffaloes and St Mary’s in the NTFL.
Here is Latoya in June this year, working at the TITEB Futures Expo, supporting her community.
Sam Warrior and Cecil Puruntatameri (Year 12 Class of 2024, Parade College and Brighton Grammar alumni), Pirlangimpi – Sam and Cecil recently gained their forklift licenses, through a 3-day program run by the Tiwi Island Training and Employment Board (TITEB). Sam also gained his Learners License.
Phillip Cooper (Year 12 Class of 2025, Trinity College alumni), Jabiru - completed year 10 at Trinity Grammar School in Melbourne, then returned home and is completing year 12 at Jabiru Area School this year. Here he is proudly holding the Clontarf Foundation representative football shield with former MITS student Byron Cunningham.
