Remembrance Day 2025
On Tuesday, 11 November, the whole school community paused to remember the wartime sacrifices of Australian men and women during a special Remembrance Day observance.
The school timetable was restructured so that the event could take place around the traditional time of 11:00am. The observance commenced with a catafalque party and honour guard. We are grateful to the Australian Air Force Cadets from 604 Squadron (Hampstead Barracks) who returned this year to perform ceremonial duties at the service. They were joined this year by members of the 601 and 613 Squadrons. The combined AAFC group included two Endeavour College students from 604 Squadron AAFC, Ranbir Gill and Seth Garritt.
Speakers included the new Student Executive and staff members. The observance focused on the notion of sacrifice and how it is understood in a Christian context. The historical significance of Remembrance Day was also explained, as was the meaning behind the wearing of a poppy.
After observing a minute’s silence between stirring renditions of the “Last Post” and “The Rouse” by Year 11 student Alexandria Fechner, the gathering was dismissed, and the school community returned to its regular activities.
This year marks two significant national wartime anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, and 50 years since the conclusion of the Vietnam War.
Endeavour College gratefully remembers those Australians who served, and continue to serve, in defence of our nation.
LEST WE FORGET.

Fundraising for Vietnam Orphanages:
Christmas Bake Sale and Santa Photo Wall
In April 2026, eleven Endeavour students will embark on a 10‑day study and service trip to Vietnam.
As part of this experience, the group will visit two orphanages and provide much‑needed supplies for the children. This initiative is proudly supported by the South Australian Veterans Charity Group, with whom we have enjoyed a long and meaningful partnership.
The students are working hard to raise $5,000 through a series of fundraising events and last Friday marked the beginning of their efforts with a festive Bake Sale. The team baked and sold a wide variety of homemade treats and even offered a fun photo opportunity with a “mystery Santa,” making the day a great success.
Thanks to the generous Endeavour community, we raised $465.00 at this one lunchtime event. The team were excited to offer another Bake Sale/Santa Photo Wall today, and are equally excited to run a stall Mawson Lakes Christmas Market on Saturday, 22 November; sharing their cause with the wider community.
We are grateful for your ongoing support.
