Grade 3/4 News

We have had a very exciting few weeks recently in Grade 3/4!
First of all, the students had the opportunity to visit the ACMI Museum in the city. They participated in a stop motion workshop, where they completed various stop motion animation challenges. The creativity the students showed was amazing! They also visited ‘The Story of the Moving Image’ exhibition, where they could see different artefacts to do with moving images and participate in interactive experiences, such as video games. The students were extremely well behaved and great ambassadors for Mitcham Primary School.
Additionally, some of our Grade 4 students went to Dr Stanley Cochrane Memorial Kindergarten for a short play with their 3-year-old Kinder students. Some of these 3-year-olds may be in Prep when our Grade 4’s are in Grade 6, so it was a great opportunity for the children to get to know them! Further visits will take place later in the term, with other Grade 4 student volunteers. It was delightful to see how kind and caring the students were with the small children.
