Classroom Learning with 2K

In Mathematics and Digital Technologies this week, students applied their understanding of quarter turns, directions and sequencing to create and follow algorithms (sets of precise instructions), just like real programmers! Working in pairs as “Navigators” and “Explorers,” students gave and followed exact movement commands such as “forward two steps” or “turn right a quarter turn” to complete fun obstacle courses. Using Bee-Bots and grid maps, they planned, tested, and debugged their instruction sequences to guide their robots to a target. This hands-on lesson helped students connect mathematical ideas about turns, movement, and shape with problem-solving and teamwork in a playful, practical way.
