Vocational Edu
The start of 2026 has already seen our VCE VET, VCE VM, and VPC students dive headfirst into their studies, embracing opportunities with a spirit of determination and actively shaping their academic journey.
There are currently over 400 students enrolled in an internal VCE VET subject delivered at the College, and 58 students completing the VCE VM and VPC; the latter of which involves a one-day-a-week work placement and a one-day-a-week TAFE placement, where students complete an external VET course. These numbers reflect a shift towards practical and applied learning pathways, as well as a positive trend towards more diverse educational opportunities. The VCE VET, VCE VM, and VPC offer our students a chance to gain valuable technical skills alongside their academic studies. They recognise the importance of hands-on learning and the need to cater for a variety of learning styles and needs.
Below, we have highlighted some of the key events involving our VCE VET, VCE VM, and VPC students, and their accomplishments as they continue to excel in their chosen fields.
Over two exciting days, the Year 12 VCE VM students attended a leadership camp at Britannia Park, Wesburn. Our students had the opportunity to engage in a range of activities designed to build teamwork, resilience, and leaderships skills, in accordance with their studies within Personal Development Skills (PDS).

Our Year 11 VCE VET Christian Ministry and Theology students had the opportunity to visit Our Village (formerly St Kilda Mums, Geelong Mums, and Eureka Mums). The excursion provided our students with valuable hands-on experience allowing them to develop empathy, compassion, and a deeper understanding of the importance of community service.

In honour of International Women’s Day, our Year 12 VCE VM students organised a special luncheon for staff, showcasing their culinary talents and celebrating female empowerment and the achievements of women in the world.

Our Year 11 VCE VET Sport and Recreation students participated in surf lessons conducted in a controlled environment at URBNSRF, where they learnt about different coaching styles and how to apply health and safety guidelines in a practical, real-world setting.
Our Year 10 VET Career Investigations students took part in a Brick & Block Laying TAFE Taster Day at Swinburne’s Wantirna Campus, where they gained valuable hands-on experience in the building and construction trade.

Our Year 11 and Year 12 VCE VM and VPC students volunteered to run the sausage sizzle stand, taking on roles such as cooking, serving, and managing cash transactions.
Our Year 11 VCE VM students explored the Road to Zero excursion at the Melbourne Museum, gaining valuable insights into road safety, responsible decision-making, and the impact of their choices on themselves and others.

Our Year 12 VCE VM students successfully completed an accredited Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) incursion delivered by Best Restaurant Training.
As part of their exploration of sport and recreation in urban environments, our Year 11 VCE VET Sport and Recreation students took part in an exciting excursion that combined physical activity with environmental awareness.
Our Year 10 VET Career Investigations students completed a week of Work Experience in the final week of term, gaining valuable real-world skills and insights into their future career pathways.
As you can appreciate, above is but a snapshot of all the co-curricular activities our students complete to satisfy the practical side of learning goals and outcomes, and value add to our VCE VET, VCE VM, and VPC programs.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated teaching and support staff whose commitment, expertise, and tireless efforts make these programs possible. Their ongoing support plays a vital role in creating meaningful learning experiences and empowering our students to thrive.
