World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly
Established by Pope Francis as an opportunity to honour the wisdom, love, and faith of our grandparents and elderly members. This year's theme is "I will not forget you" (Isaiah 49:15) was chosen by Pope Leo XIV to highlight God's unwavering love for every person, even in the period of old age, offering comfort and hope to Grandparents around the world.
To celebrate World day of Grandparents the Parish is inviting St. Therese's School students to bring along their grandparents or a elderly friend to Mass on the weekend of the 25th and 26th of July. This mass will include a special blessing for Grandparents and the Elderly, a small token of appreciation for them, and a light morning tea following.
You are invited to bring your Grandparents to Mass at St. Therese on the 25th and 26th of July.
Please consider inviting someone to attend:
- Saturday 25th July - 6 pm - St. Therese's Church
- Sunday 26th July - 10:30 pm - St. Therese's Church
