From the Principal

Dear St Anthony's Families,

As we draw to the end of our Term we give thanks.

A Term 2 Prayer

Loving God,

Thank you for the energy, growth and joy that has filled St Anthony's this term; in our classrooms, our playgrounds and every moment shared along the way.

Like our patron, St Anthony of Padua, known for his generous teaching and his gift for helping others find what they're searching for, may our students continue to discover their gifts, our staff continue to teach with heart and our families continue to feel welcomed and valued.

We celebrate all that Term 2 has brought and we look forward with hope and excitement to the term ahead.

St Anthony, watch over our school community and bless us with rest, joy and renewal these holidays.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

A reflection of Term 2

Term 2 has been a term full of life at St Anthony's.

Among all the great learning, we had many great activities: we began with the energy of ANZAC Day commemorations, before moving through a season rich in connection and celebration.

School tours and our Open Morning welcomed new families into our community, our Year 5/6 students grew in independence and friendship at Camp Summit and all our students explored and learned together on our whole school Zoo excursion.

We marked significant moments of faith together too, with students receiving the Sacrament of First Reconciliation, our Buddies Mass bringing the whole school together in prayer and our community pausing for the Feast of the Ascension and Pentecost.

National Reconciliation Week invited us to reflect, listen and grow as a community committed to truth and respect.

Our PFA and parents organised a great event to honour Mothers' Day and had a very successful Bunnings Sausage Sizzle.

As the term drew to a close, our celebration of the Feast of St Anthony of Padua reminded us why our school carries his name. He was a saint known for his generosity, his wisdom and his gift for helping others find what truly matters.

Other wonderful activities were our Pre-Loved Book sale and the simple joy of our Cake Raffles, 5/6 sports, Lightning Premierships (Netball B Champions!!!), Kinder visits and, of course, our fantastic St Anthony's Athletics Day last Monday.

And, who can forget the wonderful sharing of learning during our Student Assemblies. We love our students showing off their work and parents coming in to watch.

Term 2 has shown, once again, that St Anthony's is at its best when students, staff and families come together: learning, celebrating and growing as one community of faith.

We look forward to Term 3

Looking ahead, Term 3 promises to be a busy and another exciting one for our St Anthony's community.

On Tuesday in week 2, we have our Learning Conversations. Make sure you book in if you haven't already done so.

Students will have plenty to look forward to, from Book Week, its parade and Book Fair. We look forward to hearing all about our 3/4 students' camp adventures. We will also pause to celebrate Father's Day and mark RUOK Day together as a school community.

The highlight of the term will undoubtedly be our School Concert in Week 10, where our students will take to the stage to showcase their talents in what is always one of the proudest and most joyful nights on our school calendar. We cannot wait to see our students shine and to celebrate their hard work alongside so many of our families.

We look forward to a restful break and to all that Term 3 will bring.

For now, I hope the students have a wonderful break and you have an opportunity to spend quality family time with them. For those travelling, please do so safely.

I look forward to seeing you and give the children high fives when the gates open again on Monday the 13th of July at 8.30am.
