Ryan’s Rambling

Dear Families,
I hope this finds you well, and warm! I have an annual tradition of finding deep appreciation for a warm fire and my ugg boots! This tradition was met at home this week.
At our Assembly this morning, we spoke about the importance of Reconciliation and how we all play a part in this, now and into the future. Our students reflected on the importance of our First Nations People during Buddies and Mates this morning by participating in a rich discussion and reflection, and completing an activity together.
Winter Sports concluded today with 25 of our Grade 5/6 students representing us at the Inter School Netball competition. We had three separate teams across the day, with a mix of wins and losses. Despite the results, it is always a proud moment seeing the students celebrate together and support each other through competitive moments. Well done to everyone for a fantastic day out and thanks to our staff for all the hard work and preparation.
Next week, Kylie and I will be attending the State Leadership Conference in Melbourne, along with principal class colleagues from across the state. It will be a great opportunity to connect with some fantastic learning and continue our collective work to achieve the Education State targets. Kellie Healy will be in charge of the school on Tuesday and Wednesday.
I hope that you all have a happy and safe weekend.
Ryan
