At Solway, we are proud to be implementing the Respectful Relationships program as part of our whole-school approach to wellbeing. This evidence-based program is a key part of the Victorian Curriculum and supports students to build healthy relationships, resilience, and emotional intelligence.
In Term 1, our focus was on emotional literacy and personal strengths. Students learned to recognise and name their emotions, understand the feelings of others, and identify what makes them unique.
This term, we are exploring positive coping strategies and problem solving. These lessons are designed to help students manage challenging situations in constructive ways and develop skills to make respectful and responsible decisions.
Respectful Relationships helps create a safer and more inclusive school environment, and supports the social and emotional development of our students.
