 “Our Diocesan Community”

Loving God, We thank You for the gift of Catholic education, where faith and learning grow together. Bless our students, teachers, families, and leaders, that we may always walk in Your light. Help us to be people of compassion, truth, and hope, sharing Your love in all we do. As we celebrate this special week, may our hearts be filled with gratitude for the community we are part of, and may we always seek to serve you through learning, prayer, and action. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Catholic Education Week

This week, we celebrate Catholic Education Week - a time to reflect on the values and mission of Catholic education.

Catholic Education Week takes place from the 26th – 30th May. To celebrate this event, all staff and students will be attending mass at St Mary’s Church on Thursday 29th May at 10:00am. Students will travel by bus to this event. The buses will leave Sacred Heart at 9:30am and return at approximately 11:20am. This mass will be celebrated with students from St Brendan’s Primary School, St Mary’s Primary School and representatives from Trinity College. Parents/Guardians and Grandparents are welcome to join us in this celebration.

All Year 6 students from each of the primary schools, will continue celebrating Catholic Education Week. The year 6’s will walk to ‘One Movement’ after mass to participate in an exercise program with Andre Delorenzo at 50 Queen Street from 11:30am to 12:30pm. After the hour exercise program, the students will then walk to the Memorial Square to eat their lunch together and will return to school at 1:30pm. Please note, if any student is to be picked up during this time they must report to the teacher on hand to be signed out.

(Please complete Permission details on PAM for your child)

During this week students from other year levels may also participate in activities related to hope.
