Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,
This week, we celebrate Catholic Education Week in our Ballarat Diocese. The theme this year is “May the god of hope, fill you with peace and joy”
Our school will attend Mass on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. to mark the occasion. The children from St Mary’s and St Brendan’s and the leaders from Trinity College will join us at the Church. All parents are welcome.
Trinity Rock Band
On Wednesday, Steve Gill and the Trinity Rock Band performed a lively concert during lunch in the multi-purpose room. While attendance was optional, many students who love music and dance took the opportunity to sing along and enjoy the energy of the rock band. It was a wonderful experience for the children, bringing joy, movement, and many smiles to the middle of their school day. Thank you, Steve, and Trinity students, for showcasing your talents!
Walk to School Day
Our annual Walk to School Day was well supported, with over 100 students, police, and parents walking to school from CSC. The day promotes healthy habits and focuses heavily on safety. Colac Police Senior Constable Steph Ward led the group.
Steph’s message was, “Before crossing the road, there are four things we must do: Stop. Look. Listen. Think!” Thank you to everyone who was able to support this initiative last Thursday.
Supporting Families Impacted by Drought
As our region continues to face prolonged dry conditions, many farming families are experiencing significant challenges due to the lack of rain. The impact of the drought is being felt deeply across our community, affecting livelihoods and wellbeing. At Sacred Heart, we want to reassure all families that we support you. If your household is experiencing financial hardship due to the drought or other issues, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Our school is committed to assisting and ensuring every student and their family feels safe, supported, and included during these difficult times.
Kind regards,
Karl Dwyer
