From the Principal's Desk

Dear Parents,

Winter has certainly arrived and we have seen cold and wet days. Whilst we do not enforce the wearing of either the summer or winter uniform at a particular time of year, we do require students to wear either of the uniforms in totality.  This means it is one or the other, not a mix of the two uniforms. We understand that some students do not feel the cold, so wearing the summer version of the uniform, at this time of year works for them. Your support in this is much appreciated.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

Tomorrow evening at 7:00pm our Year 3 /4 students will celebrate their First Reconciliation. This is a very special time in their faith lives and we wish them well as they take this important step. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Farewell Paraliturgy & Afternoon tea

I warmly invite all parents and families to join me for a paraliturgy and afternoon tea on Thursday 26th June at 2:30pm. I hope to see as many of you as possible attend to help me celebrate my very special time at St B’s.

Camp Program

Last Friday our Foundation students enjoyed their camp experience and had a wonderful time. The day began in pyjamas with a breakfast of pancakes & rainbow ice-cream, toast and fruit.  A movie, with popcorn and cake baking and decorating were just some of the activities they participated in throughout the day. They showed great independence by getting themselves changed into their uniforms.

Our Year 3 /4 students are preparing for their camp experience in Benloch next Tuesday and Wednesday. We look forward to hearing all about their time away.

Student Illness

As you would all be aware, there are many viruses and illnesses circulating throughout the community at the moment and we are seeing a rise in the number of students who are unwell. If your child is at all unwell, please do not send them to school . This helps minimise the spread of illness in the school.  We appreciate your support in this.

OSHC

Last night OSHC held their AGM and elected a new Committee. Our OSHC is unique and we are so blessed to have this service for over 25 years.

Thankyou to those who attended last night, to Carmel, Nadia and their incredible staff for their dedication and passion and to those parents who have taken on important roles as office bearers. We are so appreciative and lucky.

A reminder that any family can use our Before After and Vacation Care programs as a permanent or casual. With the school holidays fast approaching, you may like to consider your children attending. Information about the program is available on the OSHC page.

Long Weekend and R.E. PL day

A reminder this Monday 9th June is the King's Birthday public holiday, there is no school on this day.

Friday 27th June is a PL day there is no school for students. OHSC is available on this day bookings are essential.

A reminder there are still opportunities for tours and to submit an enrolment for Foundation 2026, please pass the information on to family and friends who may be interested.

Parking

Please be considerate of our neighbours when you are dropping off and picking up your children, by following and abiding by parking restrictions and ensuring that driveways and street corners are kept clear. We want to work together to ensure a safe environment for all in our community.
