Next week Tuesday the 20th of May we are holding our monthly Parents and friends’ association meeting in the community room at 6.30pm. It would be great to see some new faces, come on down and get involved so that we can enrich the school experience of every SFS student.
The St Francis de Sales Parents & Friends Association (PFA) is an active part of our wonderful school community. The PFA host special events for our students throughout the year: fun lunches, raffles, sausage sizzles, discos and various other fantastic events! Our fundraising activities are used to directly benefit the students and the school community.
So come down and help make a difference.
P&F are holding a fundraiser - get a beautiful family portrait for ONLY $30 and all money goes to the school.

A massive thank you to everyone that was involved with the democracy sausage sizzle on election day, we made a whopping $650 so thank you to all we really can’t pull these days off without our volunteers that go above and beyond.
Also a Happy Mothers Day to all our SFS Mothers and a big thank you again to everyone who helped with the mother’s day stall and morning tea, it was a lovely day for all involved and again we couldn’t have these special days without our incredible volunteers so THANK YOU!!!!
We have a fun lunch planned very soon that we will be announcing shortly, keep a look out for forms and more information very soon.
The success of our events relies on the support and participation of parents, carers and the school community. You can get involved by joining the PFA committee, attending our monthly meetings or volunteering to be a parent helper.
Working together allows us to foster a great school community spirit and the students love seeing their parents/carers at school events.
During the year, we will need the assistance of parent volunteers to help us run various events. We couldn’t run PFA activities without your support. Thank you in advance for your help, donations and sharing your time with us.

Every Friday we sell Icy Poles at first lunch
The cost is $1 per icy pole
We need volunteers who are available between 10:45 am and 11:25 am to sell icy poles.
Volunteers work on a roster system and we are very grateful for your time. If any parents are available on a Friday morning to assist, please email Sabrina atsfspfa@sfslynbrook.catholic.edu.au.
The PFA run a regular Second Hand Uniform Shop Friday mornings at 8.40 am. These uniforms have kindly been donated by families who have moved away or when students have outgrown their uniforms. All items are $5. Dates will be listed in the newsletter throughout the year.
Please donate uniform! If you can donate uniform in good condition to the school, we would be very grateful as the funds raised go directly back into the school community. Donations of laundered uniform can be made at the school office.
All parent helpers need to have a valid Working with Children Check. You can apply for this online: https://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/
It is free to apply as a volunteer. Please make sure the school office receives a copy of your Working with Children Check once it comes through.
If you’d like to get in touch with the PFA, you can email us at sfspfa@sfslynbrook.catholic.edu.au or join us at our monthly meetings which are held each month from 6.30 pm in the Community Room
