A request for families to pay their 2025 Family Payments

Each year, our school community demonstrates its deep commitment to providing the very best for our students—and one important way this happens is through Family Payments/Curriculum Contributions (previously known as school fees).

While these payments are voluntary, they are absolutely vital. The government funding we receive allows us to deliver the basics of education for every child. But what makes SKiPPS exceptional—our engaging excursions, specialist programs, vibrant classrooms, and high-quality materials—are made possible because of the contributions from our families.

At SKiPPS, we’ve intentionally designed our Curriculum Contributions to cover almost everything your child will need for the year. This includes essentials like pencils, paper, exercise books and art supplies, as well as access to online learning platforms, and all planned excursions and in-school events (incursions). Unlike many other schools, we don’t ask families to manage or pay for lengthy booklists and we avoid constant additional requests throughout the year. Our goal is to keep things simple, predictable and stress-free—for both families and staff.

The only additional costs throughout the year are for swimming and school camp. And even these have been significantly reduced or completely covered for most families in 2025 thanks to the State Government’s $400 School Saving Bonus.

We are incredibly grateful to the two-thirds of families who have already made this year’s contribution—thank you. Your support is helping to fund the rich learning experiences our students are enjoying right now. We now kindly ask the remaining one-third of families to log in to Compass and finalise their payment.

Our requested contribution is modest—kept deliberately low and well below those of many neighbouring schools. However, we’ve seen a steady decline in payment rates in recent years. So far this year, we’ve received only 68% of our target by the end of April.

If you are yet to make payment for 2025, we encourage you to login to Compass and look for the below icon on the top-right part of your Homepage. Please click on this and proceed to make an online payment.

We believe every child deserves access to high-quality learning, rich experiences and the materials they need to thrive. Your support helps make that happen. If your family is experiencing financial difficulty, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help.

With thanks,

Neil Scott
