Laudato Si' Week

Laudato Si’ Week is a held in May each year when people around the world remember a letter written by Pope Francis in 2015. In this letter, he asked everyone to take better care of the Earth, which he called “our common home.” During Laudato Si’ Week, people learn about how to protect nature, stop pollution, and help others—especially those who are poor or affected by climate change. It’s a time to think about how we can all live in a way that’s kinder to the planet.

In 2025, Laudato Si’ Week is extra special because it’s the 10th anniversary of the letter. People are joining events like talks, clean-up days, and tree planting to celebrate and take action. The theme this year is “Raising Hope,” which means spreading positive ideas and working together to make the world a better place for everyone—now and in the future.
