Good Afternoon Parents/Carers,

Welcome back to Term 4.  I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable break and are ready for learning.

Tell Them from Me Survey

The annual Tell Them from Me Survey is open, and I ask that all parents take the time to log on to: http://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/6hxy8 and fill out.  This survey is anonymous and helps shape our school.  The survey closes on 8th November 2024.

2025 Kinder Orientation and Transition

We will welcome our 2025 Kinder students next Tuesday for their first transition session.  Julia and the team from Werris Creek Preschool will be bringing those children who attend preschool and all parents are welcome to come along.  If your child does not attend preschool but is eligible to attend Kindergarten in 2025 we would love them to come along to our morning from 10:30am.  

K-2 Excursion to Marsupial Park Tamworth

Our K-2 students will be attending the Minuature Railway and Marsupial Park in Tamworth this Friday, 18th October.  Students can expect a fun day riding on the minature trains and lunch with the animals at the Marsupial Park.  If you are yet to return your child's permission note could you please do so by tomorrow so we can finalise our numbers.

Quirindi Spring Show Awards

At the recent Quirindi Spring Show held in September, Werris Creek Public School had entered artwork in the schools category under their year group.  We are pleased to announce that some of our students were awarded prizes. The award recipients are:

First Prize - Jack, Lillian F & Lillian S

Fourth Prize - Alex G

Fifth Prize - Kobi

Highly Commended Prize- Alex C, Eric, Jackson & Joe

Encouragement Prize - Haidee, James, Khloee & Zakk.

Attention Kinder Parents

If you have Kinder Prep Shirts from last year, could you please return them to our school office by this Friday, 18th October so we can pass on to our 2025 Kinder cohort.

Year 6 Footy Day Fundraiser

On behalf of Year 6 we thank you for your gold coin donation to our Footy Day Fundraiser held on the last day of Term 3.  Our Year 6 cohort raised $44 that will go towards their Year 6 Farewell.
