Learning and Curriculum Primary - Stage 3
Open Classrooms
Today we welcomed Year 5 parents/carers to our Open Classrooms to witness the wonderful learning that has taken place throughout Term 3. Students were eager to share their work with their parents/carers, particularly the poems that they have constructed during English lessons as well as their History projects. We look forward to welcoming Year 6 families tomorrow, 19 September from 8:45 AM - 9:30 AM.
Ethics Olympiad
On Tuesday 10 September, 12 students from Years 5 and 6 participated in the 2024 Ethics Olympiad. The Olympiad is an online competition which helps students develop important skills such as communication, collaboration, and critical thinking. Unlike a debate, students are not assigned a position. Rather, they take their own considered position in relation to an ethical question. Some of the ethical topics covered this year included human rights, slavery, power, greed, and injustices. We congratulate all of the students involved as well as Ms Heidi Viney and Ms Alison Mazoudier for preparing the students. We are extremely proud of their achievements which included sixth place for the Year 5 team, and 11th place for the Year 6 team.
