Principal's Views

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we approach the end of Term 3, we have a busy and exciting final week ahead! Here's a quick roundup of what's happening and important updates:

One Week to Go!

It’s hard to believe we’re just one week away from the end of term! This has been a busy and productive term, and we are so proud of all the hard work and achievements of our students.

Indigenous Literacy Day – September 4th

On September 4th, we celebrated Indigenous Literacy Day. This special day was dedicated to fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of Indigenous cultures through storytelling and literacy activities. Our students participated in various engaging activities to learn more about the rich history and contributions of Indigenous peoples.

R U OK? Day

We also observed R U OK? Day, a day dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being. Our students and staff took part in activities and discussions focused on the importance of checking in with friends and family, and supporting each other through challenging times. A big thank you to the wellbeing team to ensure a fun day for all staff and students.

Upcoming Open Classrooms

Next Tuesday, we invite you to our Celebration of Learning open classrooms. The front gate will be open from 2:45pm and classes will be open until 3:25pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to see your child's work and achievements firsthand. We look forward to sharing their progress with you!  This is an opportunity to celebrate student learning. If you want to meet with your child's teacher, please organise a meeting with them for another time.

End of Term Assembly

Join us for our End of Term Assembly at 9:15am on Thursday, September 19th. The assembly will feature delightful musical performances by our students. We’re also excited to have the coffee van onsite, so you can enjoy a cup of coffee while celebrating the end of term with us.

Parent Opinion Survey

We truly value your feedback! We’ve only had a 10% response rate to The Parent Opinion Survey so far. Your opinions and suggestions are crucial in helping us improve and ensure we’re meeting the needs of our community. If you haven’t yet completed the survey, please take a few moments to do so. Details to login are on Compass.
