Indigenous tales and singing First Nation songs

 

Koori Storytime aims to introduce children to Indigenous perspectives through an engaging storytime session.

 

This special school holiday program will integrate stories written by Indigenous football legends, sharing the great contributions that Aboriginal people and culture have made to the game. Koori Storytime aims to introduce children to Indigenous perspectives through weaving tales from Indigenous books, singing First Nations songs, and sparking creativity and curiosity through arts and crafts. 

 

Join us at Carlton Farmers Market on AFL Grand Final day for this unique event.

 

We have sessions at 9am and 12am on the 28th of September 2024. This event is suitable for ages 3+

Yarra Libraries does not charge for events, however this is hosted at Carlton Farmers Market, an NFP which has a Voluntary $2 entry donation – card only.

 

Your donations go towards school projects and, as MFM is a social enterprise, all donations go back into the running of the market and our food relief programs.

Times: 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm

Age: Prep to year 9
