Welcome back to the sunshine! I hope you all had a wonderful break and are now ready to hit the ground running in Term 4. We've started the migration over to Compass, it looks like plenty have managed to migrate over. Please bare with us us we manage the teething issues, in the meantime if you're having trouble, uEducateUs is still available should you need to contact staff.
We have started this term with "Bullying No Way" action week and there's been some really thoguhtful, engaging discussions across classes. The themes revolve around kindness, empathy and respecting peers. Students have actioned some of these discussions with some great play, demonstrating inclusion and cooperation throughout the school.
We've recently had some bushfire preparedness assessments completed on our school grounds. They've recommended some general clearing of areas close to our "Shelter in Place" building (main building), as well as replacing some garden bed bark with crushed rock. Over the next little while you'll see these changes. We've also utilised many hands from our senior class to turn over the garden beds at the outdoor chess area. There's certainly a few very keen gardeners in there. This area has become well overgrown with weeds, you'll see it replanted very soon!
The parent and guardian survey is now closed as of the end of term 3. Thankyou to everyone that completed this, it provides valuable info to improve our school. I have looked at responses, there is a clear theme around communication from the school. I hope you can help dig into this deeper by helping us with this last survey here:
Unfortunately we won't be getting lunch orders from the general store, as most of you know they have closed in the holidays. We are looking into alternatives to see what we can do.
We have secured AusCycling to help us out this term with 4 sessions of bike ed for our PE program. Dates are as follows:
21/10/24
28/10/24
06/11/24
11/11/24
Students need to bring thier own bikes on these days. AusCycling have informed me they shouldbe able to bring some spares for those that may not have one.
That's all from me, head over to the "Curriculum" page to see what's happening in classrooms this term. Take care everyone, looking forward to seeing many of you at the trivia night!
