Exciting Relaunch of Our Student House System at Launching Place PS
We are thrilled to announce the relaunch of our student house system at Launching Place Primary School! This vibrant and engaging initiative is set to enhance our School Wide Positive Behaviour (SWPB) program and further celebrate our students’ achievements in demonstrating our core values.
Our revamped house system features four houses, each represented by a unique colour and name:
- Yarra (Red)
- Launch (Blue)
- Wattle (Yellow)
- Bellbird (Green)
Students will be assigned to one of these houses, where they will have the opportunity to earn points and recognition for their positive behaviours and adherence to our SWPB Matrix expectations.
The house system is designed to build a strong sense of community and friendly competition among students. By integrating this system into our daily routines, we aim to increase the quality and frequency of positive feedback, reinforcing our school values and encouraging students to consistently showcase their best behaviour.
We believe that this approach will not only motivate students but also strengthen our school culture, making Launching Place PS an even more supportive and dynamic learning environment. We look forward to seeing our students thrive as they take pride in their houses and work together to achieve great things!

Help us out! Reminder to participate in the 2024 PARENT/CAREGIVER/GUARDIAN OPINION SURVEY
Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey and is seeking your feedback. The survey, offered by the Department of Education, is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. We sent you an invitation to complete the survey via COMPASS. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey has been extended until Friday September 20. Your opinions are important to us and will contribute to identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies. The department will use the results from the survey for research purposes and to improve outcomes for students. The survey is being conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete. It can be completed on any internet enabled device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone) and is compatible with most browsers.
A final reminder about being Sunsmart for Term Four - students will need hats from Monday 7th October. :)
