School and Kindergarten Parents and Friends Association Meeting - Thursday 17th October 9am
The next PFA meeting will be a General Meeting on Thursday 17th October 2024 at 9am in the Davey Building Conference Room (school administration building). This is a great opportunity to meet new parents and staff, and a place where you can share your ideas for fundraising and how you would like to see the money raised to be spent on your children. All new and existing parents are encouraged to attend and toddlers are most welcome.
Please note that PFA Meetings are held monthly and you are free to attend as many or as few as you like - the PFA do not lock anyone in for a commitment.
Harness Racing Night - Thursday 3rd October
2024 sees Miners Rest Primary School as a beneficiary for SpringFest. The first event of the year is the Harness Racing Night, on Thursday 3rd October. If you can, please support those who in turn support your children at Miners Rest Primary School. Please contact the office to book your seats for a great night out.
SpringFest Market Sunday - 24th November
The Miner Rest Primary School are beneficiaries of SpringFest for 2024. One of the events we assist at is the SpringFest Market Sunday. We are required to provide 20 volunteers throughout the day in shifts (6am-10am; 10am-2pm; 2pm-close). No specific skills are required, just a can-do attitude. An information and induction night is being hel via zoom on Thursday 14th November, 7pm. If you can assist in one of these times, please contact the office.
Volunteer Required Please
The PFA are seeking a volunteer or more to assist with a fortnightly cut up of fruit that will then be distributed to all the classrooms. This will be held on a Friday on the even weeks of Term 4, starting week 2 at 9am. If you can help, please contact the office. You will need to have a Working With Childrens Check please.
Second-hand Uniform Shop
The second-hand uniform shop will be opening on a monthly basis from 3pm-3.20pm with all items priced at $2 each. The second-hand uniform operates out of the STEM Room (Blue Hall) in the Brady Building.

Lunches need to be ordered online through the website www.quickcliq.com.au. Please note: sauce is provided in each classroom. Some days, not all items are available or sell out quickly. We recommend to try and order as early as possible, with orders closing at 8.15am on the day of delivery.
Student Display Books ***Special Discounted Price $10 each***
Through the PFA, we have Student Display Folders for sale for $10 each. These are great for storing your child's reports, achievement certificates etc. The Display Folders are available from the School General Office.
