Welcome Back to Term 4!
Welcome back to what promises to be an exciting and productive final term of the year! The MRC team is thrilled to see everyone return, and we've been busy preparing resources and spaces to support you through the weeks ahead.

VCE Exam Preparation
Our VCE students are entering a crucial period as they prepare for their end-of-year exams, and we want to ensure they have the best possible environment for success. We understand that effective study requires focus, comfort, and access to resources. Our dedicated study area provides:
VCE students, please remember that the library is here for you. Whether you need a peaceful place to work, help locating resources, or just a quiet moment to regroup, our doors are open. We're cheering you on every step of the way!
Special Guest: Author Danielle Binks
We're absolutely delighted to announce that acclaimed Australian author Danielle Binks will be visiting our school to speak with all Year 7 students on Thursday, 23 October! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to meet a real working author and gain insights into the creative writing process.
Danielle Binks is a passionate advocate for young adult literature and has written several beloved books that explore themes of identity, belonging and resilience. During her visit, she'll be discussing her books, sharing stories about her writing journey and answering questions about what it's like to be an author. This visit promises to inspire our Year 7 students and perhaps ignite a passion for reading and writing in young people who are still discovering their interests. We encourage all Year 7s to come prepared with questions and an open mind!
Looking Ahead
Term 4 is always a special time in the MRC. Between supporting exam preparation, celebrating student achievements and welcoming inspiring guests, we're here to ensure every student has access to the resources and encouragement they need.
Please don't hesitate to visit us or reach out if you need anything. Here's to a fantastic final term!

Today marked the final Peer Support session for our Year 7 and 11 students. It was a wonderful opportunity for both groups to come together and celebrate the year that has been. Sitting outside in the sunshine, students reflected on their Peer Support journey—sharing the highlights, positive memories and lessons learned along the way.

After completing their reflections, everyone headed to the gym for a lively session of Just Dance. The energy was high as students laughed, danced and celebrated the friendships and connections they’ve built throughout the year. It was a joyful way to finish off what has been a rewarding Peer Support program for both our senior and junior students.

A student view
In peer support, we completed a fun worksheet of what Academy has been like for us so far, including a highlight of the year, what has been challenging for us and what advice we would give to next year's Year Sevens. After lots of lollies kindly bought by our peer support leaders, we then went to the Dillon Room and did Just Dance for the rest of the session. At the end, we all said goodbye to our peer support leaders with hugs and thankyous for all of their kindness and dedication. Altogether, it was a perfect conclusion to our peer support sessions and I imagine we have all made fond memories.
Thanks
