The First Week of Advent: November 30, 2025

1. Light the first purple candle : Hope

    

2. Read from Scripture: "The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined." (Isaiah 9:2)

    

3. Pray the Advent Wreath Prayer for Week 1: “Dear Jesus, you are the hope in our messy world. This Advent, help us slow down, listen to your voice, and focus on what’s really important. We place our hope in you as we prepare our hearts to celebrate your birth on Christmas. Amen.”

    

4. Reflect: Are you ready to discover the hope Jesus is inviting you to experience this Christmas?

The Second Week of Advent: December 7, 2025

1. Light the first and second purple candles : Peace

    

2. Read from Scripture: "And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be enrolled with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child. And while they were there, the time came for her to be delivered. And she gave birth to her first-born son and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn." (Luke 2:4-7) (Isaiah 9:2)

    

3. Pray the Advent Wreath Prayer for Week 2: “Dear Jesus, you entered our world on Christmas as the Prince of Peace. This Advent, as we strive to become the-best-version-of-ourselves, fill us with a deep and abiding peace. Help us share that peace with everyone we encounter, especially those who need it most. Amen.”

The Third Week of Advent: December 14, 2025

1. Light the first and second purple candles and the pink candle : Joy

    

2. Read from Scripture: "And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them." (Luke 2:20)

    

3. Pray the Advent Wreath Prayer for Week 3: “Dear Jesus, help us focus on you during this busy season. May we stay aware of the joy you bring into our lives. We want to find you in the everyday moments and come with hearts of gratitude to your manger on Christmas. Amen.”

    

4. Reflect: On a scale from 1-10, how would you rate your joy this Advent? How might God be inviting you to open yourself up to the joy of the season?

The Fourth Week of Advent: December 21, 2025

1. Light all four candles: Love

    

2. Read from Scripture: "And the angel said to them, “Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people; for to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." (Luke 2:10-11)

    

3. Pray the Advent Wreath Prayer for Week 4: “Dear Jesus, may the light of your love always shine in our hearts. As Christmas draws closer, we marvel at your great love for us. Let your love transform every aspect of our lives and touch everyone we encounter. Our hearts are open to you, Jesus. Amen.”

    

4. Reflect: What concerns, joys, worries, and prayers do you want to bring to Jesus this Christmas?
