Strategic Planning

I am excited to share an update on the development of our school’s new Strategic Plan. This plan reflects our shared commitment to ensuring that every student achieves their best in both learning and wellbeing. Below is an overview of our goals and the measurable targets we will be working towards.

Learning Goal:

To improve literacy and numeracy growth for every student.

We want every child to experience success and continuous growth in literacy and numeracy.

To achieve this, we will continue to refine our teaching practices, strengthen our learning enhancement programs, and use data to inform targeted support for each learner.

Targets:

  • Increase the percentage of students achieving the NAPLAN ‘Exceeding’ proficiency level in literacy and numeracy.
  • Improve the percentage of students achieving ‘Medium and High’ benchmark growth in literacy and numeracy according to NAPLAN data.
  • Increase the percentage of students in Foundation to Year 6 assessed as above the expected Victorian Curriculum level (according to teacher judgement) in literacy and numeracy.

Wellbeing Goal:

To improve the learning and wellbeing outcomes of every student.

We recognise that student wellbeing is fundamental to academic success and lifelong learning. Our focus will be on creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging school environment where all students feel connected, motivated, and supported to persevere through challenges.

Targets:

  • Increase the percentage of positive endorsement in the School Staff Survey for the areas of Teacher Collaboration, Understanding Formative Assessment, and Seeking Feedback to Improve Practice.
  • Increase the percentage of Year 4–6 students reporting positive endorsement in the Attitudes to School Survey for Motivation and Interest, Perseverance, and Sense of Connectedness.
  • Decrease the percentage of Foundation to Year 6 students with 20 or more days of absence per year.

This plan represents a shared vision for our school community, one where every student is supported to reach their full potential, both academically and personally. Over the coming months, we will begin implementing key actions and monitoring progress towards these goals.

No Breakfast Club This Week

Just a reminder to all families that due to school camp, there will be no Breakfast Club operating this Thursday morning. It will return next week.
