This Week At OOPS

Students have been working hard in the garden with lots of fresh herbs and vegetables to harvest. We had lots of fun picking as many snails out of the garden as we could find.
This week we used silverbeet from our garden to make spanakopita.
Last week, our therapy dog Ginger visited RMIT University for their Student Wellbeing Lunch, completing some training and brightening everyone’s day! She stayed calm while enjoying plenty of pats from students and even resisted the temptation of BBQ scraps. We’re so proud of Ginger for continuing to learn and share her positive, happy energy wherever she goes. Ginger has now passed all requirements to receive her full Therapy Dog accreditation!
During a buddy session this week, the Year 6 students gave their buddy an instruction and tried to make it more specific by adding adverbs. The Preps did a great job of following the instructions!
Ginger joined some of the Year 2 students this week to help them learn about division. We worked through different worded problems about Ginger sharing her treats equally with her doggie friends. It was a very tasty activity... at least for Ginger!
