Park Excursion

As part of our Grade 1/2 reward program, students have been working towards a celebratory picnic lunch at Coburg North Linear Reserve.

After earning their reward, we enjoyed a beautiful day at the park, sharing lunch together and having fun on the playground.

Throughout the week, students earned points by demonstrating our Positive Behaviour Expectations (PBEs). Each class aimed to earn three stars per day, which were proudly displayed on a classroom chart so students could track their progress.

Our PBE focus areas were:

• I let others learn without distracting them.

• I listen to and follow instructions.

• I put effort into my learning and give everything a go.

We were lucky to have perfect weather for our excursion, and everyone had a wonderful time. Students enjoyed their picnic lunches, played on the playground, explored the gardens, and even discovered a snail home filled with snails of all sizes!

Well done to all our Grade 1/2 students for their hard work in showing our PBEs and earning this well-deserved reward!

SWIMMING WEEK 1

It has been a great first week of swimming! Students have done an amazing job being organised, listening carefully to their swimming instructors, and showing great enthusiasm during their lessons. Everyone is having lots of fun, and we can’t wait to dive back in next week!

We’ll be swimming again from Monday to Thursday, and all students are encouraged to keep giving their best effort.

Please remember to pack goggles, underwear, and school shorts for students to change into after their lessons. Some students have been feeling quite hungry afterwards, so it might be a good idea to pack an extra snack or piece of fruit to help refuel — they’re certainly using lots of energy in the pool!
