Language Experience - Chalk drawings

Last Friday the Preps had an amazing time completing chalk drawings on the concrete. First, we brainstormed all the sorts of pictures they could draw, but all they wanted to do was DRAW. They had so much fun! They drew some pictures on their own, as well as with their friends. 

Once they finished their chalk drawings, they were asked to write a 'recount' of their experience. It is wonderful to see all our Preps approach the writing tasks with such positivity and enthusiasm, and we are so proud of their progress. Well done, Preps!

Swimming

First week of swimming, done and dusted! We are so proud of all the preps. They have shown such confidence and independence by listening to the teachers and swimming instructors, following the rules, getting into the water and finally getting dressed. They are enjoying their lessons and making us proud by upholding our school values when they are at the pool and on the bus. Swimming will continue next Monday and conclude on Thursday. Thank you to all the parents that have allowed their children to participate in this valuable swimming program.  More photos of the other Preps in the next newsletter. Stay tuned.

Reminders 

1. Please make sure your child has a labelled hat. This is a no hat, no play term, so all students need to have their hats on outside.
2. Swimming continues next week. Monday - Thursday. Don't forget to send them to school with their towel and underwear on Monday...and their swimming gear of course. 
3. Library borrowing has finished. Please return their books next week. 
4. The last book club ordering for the year will be sent home today. 
5. Time capsule opening this Sunday.
