Head of Year 7
Welcome back to Term 4! This is a short but important eight-week term as we work towards wrapping up the school year. We encourage all students to arrive each day ready to engage, participate fully, and make the most of the opportunities ahead. Maintaining consistent attendance, punctuality, and effort will be key to finishing the year on a positive note as we approach the end of the year.
The College Diary is a key tool that assists students with their daily personal organisation. This term, Pastoral Group mentors will focus on helping students use their diaries effectively daily.
Information students will be writing in their diary includes:
Extra-curricular activities
Please support your child in using this resource. You can do this by checking their diary weekly and placing any notes or communications to Pastoral Group Mentors or teachers in the space provided.
Year 7 students will engage in Progressive Achievement Testing (PAT) for both Reading and Mathematics this week. Results from these tests help teachers understand the abilities, achievements, and needs of every student.
Testing for Year 7 students will take place on Tuesday and Thursday this week. Students are required to have a fully charged laptop and a pencil to complete these tests.
Term 3 Reports have now been uploaded and can be accessed via the MyCE Parent App or the Parent Portal. Please click on the tab labelled 'The Learning Dashboard' to view your child's report.
Parents are encouraged to view these with their students, celebrating the successes and discussing the challenges.
Please see below the Jewellery and Personal Grooming requirements for the commencement of Term 4, as observed in the Student Expectations document found on the College website.
Please keep in mind: Students who DO NOT meet these expectations at school's commencement will be withdrawn from recess breaks, with expectations to be adhered to by Thursday at 8:30 am. After Thursday, further consequences that impact the usual learning program will follow should these expectations not be met.
JEWELLERY:
Jewellery is to be discreet, meaning not particularly noticeable, and is limited to:
1x Small silver or gold sleeper/stud in each earlobe, onl,y no larger than 5mm
PERSONAL GROOMING:
We ask that parents drive as far forward as possible in the Stop, Drop & Go zone at the front of the College, especially during wet weather. Please do not stop at the Teepee, as this causes traffic to back up and creates further congestion.
