Celebrations of Learning and Community

Year 12 Celebration Day

Our VCE students have now commenced their Unit 3/4 exams, and we are so proud of the hard work and dedication they have shown throughout the year. Their commitment to their studies and determination to achieve their best is truly commendable.

Last week, our Year 12 students celebrated the end of their 13-year schooling journey with the annual Celebration Day Parade through the College. Students from Prep to Year 11 lined the paths to cheer them on, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with laughter, colour and creativity.

The celebrations concluded with our traditional tree planting ceremony, followed by a well-earned day of sunshine and fun at Funfields before turning their focus to exam preparation.

We wish all our Year 12s and students undertaking Unit 3/4 exams every success. Your efforts, resilience and positivity make us incredibly proud.

Year 11 VM WRS Mock Interviews

Our Year 11 Vocational Major students recently took part in their Work Related Skills Mock Interviews, an important opportunity to develop their confidence and employability skills in a real-world setting.

As part of their studies, students have been learning about preparing for the workplace, from creating resumes and cover letters to developing strong communication and interpersonal skills. The mock interviews gave them the chance to put these skills into practice with external interviewers. Our students approached the experience with enthusiasm and professionalism, with a hint of nerves, but gained valuable feedback and insights to help them prepare for future job opportunities.

A big thank you to our external interviewers for generously giving their time and expertise, and congratulations to all our Year 11 students for their effort and positive engagement throughout this experience.

Year 10 Science Showcase

Last Friday, our Year 10 Science students proudly presented their student-designed investigations as part of our annual showcase. Over the first three weeks of Term 4, students planned, conducted, and reported on their own scientific inquiries, displaying their findings through engaging and creative posters.

The showcase featured a wide range of fascinating topics, with students confidently sharing their research and answering questions from visiting classes. Guests also had the chance to vote for their favourite posters, adding a fun and interactive element to the event.

A huge congratulations to all our Year 10 students for their hard work, curiosity, and commitment to scientific discovery — what an impressive display of learning in action! 👏

From Year 1B: "Thank you so much for your invitation. 1B were enthralled, and although they were nervous at first, they really warmed up into asking questions about the work. Your Year 10s were really proud of their work and were excited to explain further and share. What a great experience for us all."
