Positive Mindset

As we begin Term 4, we are encouraging our students to start the term with a positive mindset. Together we will talk about setting goals, trying our best, and looking for the good in each day. Having a positive attitude helps students approach challenges with confidence and see mistakes as opportunities to learn. By practising gratitude, kindness, and excellence, we can make Term 4 a happy and successful finish to the school year.

Gratitude

Our SJV Value of Gratitude is an important focus for the final term of the year. We encourage students to be thankful for their friends and teachers. We reflect on the importance of being grateful when others help and care and to appreciate that we can learn new things everyday.

Kindness

Kindness is a daily practice at SJV and we always encourage students to think about how they can show kindness, include others, and contribute to a positive classroom and playground community this term.

Excellence

In Term 4 our it is important to reflect on our value of Excellence. We can demonstrate this by showing perseverance and finishing well. As the school year nears its end, we want to promote the message of “finishing strong” — setting small goals, showing persistence, and celebrating growth and effort.
