Can you believe we’re already in Term 4? The year has flown by, and it’s hard to imagine we’re in the final stretch! There’s still so much to look forward to over the coming weeks, including swimming, camps, Bike Ed, excursions, and of course, our much-anticipated school fete. It’s such a wonderful time of year as we see students getting involved, challenging themselves, and making special memories together to finish the year on a high note.
We’re excited to share that we’ve started working with Foodbank Victoria, who are now generously donating fresh fruit for our classrooms each week. It’s been wonderful to see students enjoying healthy snacks throughout the day. Looking ahead, we’re hoping to launch a Breakfast Club in 2026, a great way to start the day with a delicious meal and a sense of community. Keep an eye out for more information about our partnership with Foodbank Victoria in the coming months!
This week, we proudly signed our IB Statement of Acceptance, marking the end of our candidacy journey with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the final step toward becoming an accredited IB World School. This is an incredible achievement for our community and a testament to the dedication of our teachers, who have worked so hard to provide supportive, engaging, and challenging learning programs for our students.
Our school fete is fast approaching, and so much time and effort have already gone into making it a fantastic event. Thank you to everyone who’s been involved so far! If you’d like to help out on the weekend of the fete, please add your name to the sign-up sheet using the link below. It’s shaping up to be an amazing day full of fun, community spirit, and celebration!

Our Year 1/2 swimming program is taking place this week and next at the Collingwood Leisure Centre. This intensive program is a fantastic opportunity for students to build their water safety skills and confidence in the pool. A big thank you to the parents who have volunteered to help. We couldn’t run the program without your support! If you’d like to lend a hand, please get in touch with your child’s classroom teacher.
The Policy and Curriculum, as well as the Community Engagement sub-committees, are currently looking for parent or carers to join their teams. These sub-committees play an important role in shaping different aspects of school life and are a great way to get involved in the FNPS community. Joining a sub-committee is a meaningful way to contribute without the larger time commitment required for School Council—plus, it’s a great way to connect with other families and staff. If you’re interested, come and chat to Tania or myself, or send us an email.
Have a great week,
Joe.
